KARACHI:
Sindh education minister Nisar Khuhro has denied allegations by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) that people from Karachi and other urban centres are being deprived of jobs. Addressing a press conference at the committee room of the Sindh Assembly on Thursday, Khuhro reminded that only last week, 1,180 male and female teachers from Karachi had received their appointment letters on merit. “This time, we have made appointments on the basis of union councils to ensure the jobs go to local residents on merit,” he said.
