Attack on vaccinators: Jundullah claims responsibility
Kills 4 vaccinators as 2 two gunmen riding a motorbike opened fire on the minivan in Quetta
QUETTA:
The Jundullah group on Friday claimed responsibility for the deadly attack on polio vaccinators in Quetta on Wednesday. Four vaccinators were killed when two gunmen riding a motorbike opened fire on their minivan in Quetta’s suburban Eastern Bypass area. Ahmed Marwat, a purported spokesman for Jundullah, claimed responsibility in a phone call to the correspondent of a foreign radio in Dera Ismail Khan. “They [vaccinators] were Western agents. They were agents of Yahood-o-Nasara (Jews and Christians). Such attacks on polio workers will continue in future,” he told Radio Mashaal’s reporter from an undisclosed location.
