
During the hearing of a suo motu case on the deaths caused by the calamity, a report on the issue was presented before the bench.
The report claimed that so far 240 people have died as a result of malnutrition and thirst, with most of the victims being below the age of five.
Meanwhile, according to Express News, five more children passed away today, taking the death toll to 118.
On November 14, SHC had directed the provincial government to submit a report by November 25, on the drought stricken Tharparkar and the several lives it had claimed.
Zardari, Shah meeting
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah will brief former president and Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on the situation of drought-hit Tharparkar today, Express News reported.
Shah and Zardari will meet in Bilawal House in Karachi.
