Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Monday he would fight tyranny and oppression till his last breath.
He was addressing a delegation from Dera Ghazi Khan at his container in Islamabad.
Khan said without reorganisation of the Election Commission of Pakistan, fresh elections were out of the question. Khan said the government must appoint a new chief election commissioner immediately.
Khan said PTI meetings and rallies had always been non-violent and would remain so in the future. He said those accusing him of inciting violence should look at footage of his public speeches. He said no warrants had been issued for those responsible for the killings in Model Town on June 17.
“I find it ironic that I have been declared an absconder while criminals pleading insanity are considered eligible for the president’s office,” he said.
He reiterated that no PTI worker had been involved in the attack on the PTV building. He said a new Pakistan would soon be formed.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari were two sides of the same coin.
“Their partnership has destroyed our country,” he said. “Their parties have decided to take turns in power so that they can squeeze the common man dry of all resources.”
He said Zardari and Sharif should bring their foreign assets to Pakistan. Khan said poverty and illiteracy could be eliminated only when a nation stood united against corrupt, power-hungry rulers.
He said by repeating the same mistakes again and again, the government had shown that it was weak and unsteady.
“Corrupt men should have no place in the corridors of power,” Khan said.
He said the people of the country would show their support for the PTI on November 30. He also appealed to members of the delegation to ensure participation of their workers in the rally in Islamabad later this month.
“If people don’t come out of their homes to fight for their rights now, they will forever remain slaves to those acting like monarchs,” he said.
He told the delegation to be ready for change and remain hopeful.
PTI Dera Ghazi Khan president Ahmad Ali Dreshak and women’s wing district president Dr Shaheena Najeeb Khosa were also present.

IK will get rid of corrupt elements in time. It is almost impossible to be 100% free of corrupt elements, but PTI learns from its mistakes and will only get better inshALLAH.
But what about NS, SS & Co? They are corrupt to the core, not to add incompetent and murderers. What can one say about a party whose leadership is corrupt beyond redemption?
