At the airport: ANF seizes 1kg heroin
Officials arrest resident of Sheikhupura who was intending to go to Saudi Arabia, and registered case against him
RAWALPINDI:
The Anti-Narcotics Force on Saturday seized one kilogramme of heroin from a passenger’s bag at Benazir Bhutto International Airport. Officials of ANF, during routine checking, confiscated a bag and during its search recovered white heroin. The officials arrested the owner of the bag identified as Muhammad Rasheed, a resident of Sheikhupura. He was intended to go to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A case was registered against him and is being interrogated, added the official. The Saudi government has recently beheaded around five Pakistanis for smuggling heroin to the country.
