Business activities: SB to beef up security for traders

AIG SB adds SB will ensure early security clearance of visiting foreign entrepreneurs

Assistant Inspector General Special Branch Waqar Ahmed Chohan has said all possible measures will be taken to provide security to traders in the capital.



Addressing members of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce &Industry (ICCI), he said that businessmen were playing a vital role in the economic development of the country.


He added that the special branch (SB) will also ensure early security clearance of visiting foreign entrepreneurs so “our business community could feel facilitated in exploring more business opportunities with foreigners”.


The special branch is fully prepared to cope with all kind of security threats in the federal capital, he said, adding that regular interaction between traders and the police was essential to make the security apparatus more effective.


ICCI acting president Shakeel Munir said close liaison between the traders and the police was vital for peace and promoting business activities.
