ASI arrested for beating citizen
MULTAN:
Police on Wednesday claimed arrested a police official accused of publicly beating a citizen. DPO Rai Zameerul Haq told The Express Tribune that ASI Nawaz Jappa and four had beaten a citizen with four other police officials two months ago in Layyah. He said his four accomplices were arrested in a raid after Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had taken the notice of the incident. He said Jappa had escaped arrest and later secured protective bail. He said on Wednesday, Lahore High Court had cancelled his bail. He said Jappa was arrested after a hearing at the Multan bench of the Lahore High Court after his bail was cancelled.
