Brotherhood is need of the hour

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that a programme had been evolved for welfare of the youth. He said 50,000 vehicles would be given to the youth under the Apna Rozgar Scheme and a transparent system had been devised for this purpose. He was talking to lawmakers from various districts. He said promotion of vocational education was of vital importance for rapid development of the country. Sharif said that a skills development programme had been launched in six districts of south Punjab with the cooperation of British Department of International Development (DFID). Sharif said the government was taking steps for protection of life and property of citizens. He said wall-chalking by any extremist organisation would not be tolerated. He said the police should keep a watchful eye on those desecrating public property. The chief minister said tolerance, peace and brotherhood were virtues that should be promoted in every society. He said the role of clerics in maintaining peace was of great importance. He said police was doing its duty in protecting citizens, but added that the public should aware of their  rights and responsibilities. Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar also attended the meeting.
