Raids: Families protest against arrests

KARACHI:

The families of two Muttahida Qaumi Movement workers arrested on Monday gathered in Orangi Town to protest against the arrest of their loved ones. Rashid alias Gadha and Yasir alias Mota were arrested during a police raid in Orangi Town and taken to an undisclosed location for further questioning.

Following the arrests, their families  and neighbours held a protest demanding the release of their loved ones. SHO Tanvir Murad said that the police had not arrested them. He claimed that other law enforcement or an intelligence agency had taken the two men into custody.
