Guard assaults 18-year-old nurse from Chak 156-GB at clinic

FAISALABAD: Gojra Saddar police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a security guard at a private clinic in Adda Tinn Pullian at Mochiwala Road for killing a nurse. Station House Officer (SHO) Umar Hayat told newsmen that late on Friday night, the guard had assaulted the 18-year-old nurse from Chak 156-GB at the clinic. He said he had shot the girl when she screamed for help. She died on the spot. Hayat said the guard then fled. He said on Saturday, relatives of the nurse staged a protest demonstration against the police and demanded the arrest of the guard. The protesters blocked Mochiwala Road for traffic. The SHO said a team was formed to find the guard and arrest him. He said they conducted raids and arrested him from the house of a friend a few hours later. He said a case under section 302 PPC had been registered against him.
