A woman who teaches at a government school was shot and injured by unidentified motorcyclists in Mamash Khel in Bannu Cantt Friday morning.
A Cantt policeman said Raiham Bibi was en route to Government Girls Primary School in Attaullah when two men intercepted her in the Pariz Khel area and opened fire.
They managed to flee after leaving her severely injured. Police rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. The official added Raiham Bibi was rushed to District Headquarters Hospital by locals. He said the police were investigating whether the woman was shot by militants or over a personal issue.
