Spoilsports: Three students injured in brawl over badminton game

Brawl occurred between members of Insaf Students Federation and Pukhtun Students Federation inside college premises

Three people were injured on Friday in a brawl over a badminton game between two student wings of political parties at Postgraduate College,  Mardan.


Aitraz Khan, an official of the city police, said the brawl occurred between members of Insaf Students Federation and Pukhtun Students Federation inside the college premises.


He added administration officials informed the police about the scuffle, however, the students dispersed by the time law enforcement officials arrived.


The official added that things took an ugly turn between the two student groups when they clashed over a game of badminton.


He said two Insaf Students Federation  members and one Pukhtun Students Federation  member were injured when they hit each other with wooden rods.
and chair handles, which were broken off from the sports area.


Khan added that a case has been filed and further investigation is under way.
