Various violations: Four petrol pumps fined
Petrol pumps raided for having inadequate security, fire-fighting equipment and selling fuel in cans/bottles in open
ISLAMABAD:
The secretariat assistant commissioner (AC) raided several petrol pumps and imposed fines worth Rs90,000 on them for having inadequate security and fire-fighting equipment and selling fuel in cans/bottles in the open. The pumps included a Shell petrol pump in the 17 Meel area, a PSO pump on Murree Road, a PSO pump on Simly Dam Road and a Shell pump near Rawal Dam Chowk. The official directed pump owners to ensure adequate security arrangements at the filing stations. The AC also raided tyre shops in the area and fined shopkeepers for keeping tyres in open places, which is against government orders regarding stemming of dengue.
