Aviation engineers repair leak; plane flies out later in the day
ISLAMABAD:
A Jeddah-bound Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 777 made an emergency landing at Benzair Bhutto International Airport on Saturday due to a technical fault, sources said. The empty plane was flying to Saudi Arabia which later took off to Jeddah to bring back Pakistani Hajj pilgrims. After takeoff, it had to return to the airport as oil started leaking from the hydraulic landing gear, the sources said. Aviation engineers repaired the leak and the plane flew out later in the day.
