PML-N dug its own grave by lying to people, says Khursheed Shah
Addressing a press conference in Quetta on Saturday, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader said, “Governments always suffer and face serious challenges when they lie. The government is currently facing multiple challenges because it lied to its people. The politics of truth always get better results."
"Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lied to the people of Pakistan about addressing the issue of power crisis and load shedding. It never happened nor does it seem to happen anytime soon,” he told reporters at the residence of PPP leader Sadiq Umrani.
Shah added that the premier should tell the truth and stop making impossible claims regarding electricity, inflation, law and order and economic prosperity.
Shah also said it was impossible to hold midterm elections until the prime minister resigns, adding that it was against democratic norms to hold elections on the wishes of a few people.
The opposition leader also alleged that the delay of the Chinese president's visit to Pakistan was a "planned conspiracy".
“Imran Khan was used to cancel the visit of the Chinese president. The world does not want a prosperous and peaceful Pakistan that is why conspiracies are being hatched against the country,” he said.
Furthermore, Shah added that his party stands for democracy, and said that the PPP has been struggling to achieve democracy in the country since the past five decades.
He also said that the PPP was the first to take initative regarding Balochistan’s issues.
“The PPP had created 5,000 jobs for the people of Balochistan. The PPP-led government tried to address the economic issues in the NFC award. We did not do a favour; it was our job,” he said.
Shah proclaimed that the people of Balochistan were angry and as a result, punished the PPP in the last general elections.
“Th PPP was punished because the people were angry in Balochistan,” he said.
The opposition leader also spoke of Imran Khan, saying that the PTI chief has not been able to prove a single corruption case against him.

In Pakistan opposition leaders make promises that even prophets cannot fulfill in 30 or 90 days. Which human can build many power plants needed to make required electricity in a few months or years? We have been adulterating milk a basic and first need of humans, baby medicines, food, and bribes for generations. Who can come and stop that in short time when we have prayers five times a day and have all the teachings of Islam? Most of these people have never fetched a bucket of water for drinking, their kids and families have foreign nationalities, they live in mansions without ever having a job, they marry only richest families of the world, yet they claim to change our plight by a miracle. Shah is telling the truth that all the lies are coming back to haunt Sharifs. That is why IK is not banking on PTI performance in KPK because it would remain dismal.
How will these rulers explain themselves to Allah as to how they ruled their people. Shame shame on them for the last 60 years.
@Ch. Allah Daad I am 100% sure you are a PML-N loyalist and will not be able to answer my statement below. Whatever happened to the promises made my Nawaz Sharif and Shabaz Sharif to bring looted wealth back from PPP leaders. What happened to "PML-N leaderships promises to open NAB cases against zardari and other PPP leaders.
PML-N leadership has deceived the public who voted for them. People trusted the Sharif family yet they have done nothing for the country. All pre-election promises are not even mentioned. Only thing PML-N leadership does is criticize PTI which they only do to hide their own corruption.

@Ch. Allah Daad: Sir I think you are living in some jungle where TV is not available! Have u not seen the largest crowds in the history of Lahore, Karachi, Mianwali and Multan? Are they not Pakistani people or have they been imported from India? There is no other party in Pakistan which can bring out crowds of this magnitude in all parts of Pakistan. Very soon, Mian Sahab will not be able to leave even Raiwind Mahal. Pakistan has changed now and has rejected these corrupt and incompetent looters.
Very true! Nawaz Sharif is the Charles Shobraj of Pakistani politics. He and his ministers believed that with lies and deceit they could fool the Pakistanis for 5 more years.
As Imran Khan has failed himself to replace Mian Sahib, PPP sees light at the end of tunnel. No one in Nation would accept Imran as a Prime Minister who has crossed all boundaries esp. Civil disobedience call. These things come to haunt during election time.
