A number of new protocols were trialled by the governing body of the game during the last 12 months. Most of them have now been included in standard playing conditions that will prevail in international cricket from October 5.
From Sunday, a T20I innings will be increased from 80 minutes to 85 minutes and minimum over-rate to be achieved by a bowling team will be 14.1 overs per hour.
The ICC has also decided to beef up the Decision Review System (DRS) by allowing an 80-over top-up of unsuccessful DRS Player reviews for another 12 months, while Real-Time Snickometer has been included in the ICC List of Approved Technology.
