RAWALPINDI: Troops engaged in the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan were showered with glowing tributes on Tuesday by army chief General Raheel Sharif, an ISPR press release said.
The army chief, who was received by Lieutenant General Tariq Khan, Commander 1 Corps Mangla, visited the troops while they were undergoing counter-terrorism training exercises.
Further on a visit to Khairan for the ceremony of the upcoming National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), General Raheel Sharif said, “The Pakistan army is fully prepared to deter and defeat any form of aggression across the entire spectrum of threat,” ISPR reported.
The NCTC will be a state-of-the-art facility with a large capacity to impart training to troops to combat terrorism in all kinds of terrain, the press release added.
“Since we will have to fight terror with other Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), the army will do its part in training paramilitary forces, the police, constabulary, and the levies at this facility,” the army chief said.
He said the centre would not only cater to the training of the army troops, but will also cater to training of other friendly armies.

Our troops have indeed done a wonderful job all over the country and more so in North Waziristan which they have nearly cleared of the militants and terrorists and have eliminated their capacity to launch retaliatory attacks elsewhere in the country.
While having the capacity, I wish the army chief also develops a desire, or at least extends a helping hand to those who have stood up, to defeat various forms of 'aggression' which our rulers, in cooperation with the loyal opposition and other political parties, have unleashed on the hapless masses, pushing an ever-increasing percentage of them below the poverty line, while multiplying their own fortune and that of their family and friends with each passing day.

Sir first of all our security and intelligence agencies are required to launch a clean up operation across the country to eliminate the menace of terrorism and extremism. We have great threats from the enemy within our own ranks than the enemy out side of the border. The enemy within our own country causing our isolation from international community.
