Targeted Attacks: Two people gunned down

KARACHI: A police officer was shot dead in Baldia Town within the limits of Ittehad Town police station. The deceased was identified as 60-year-old Muhammad Shafiq. Police officials said that he was posted at the Baldia Town investigation wing of the police. The incident took place when he was on his way to work from Gulshan-e-Ghazi on his motorcycle when unidentified motorcyclists shot him. The body was taken to Civil Hospital, Karachi. In an unrelated incident, a man identified as Haji Aslam was gunned down in Baldia Town near Yousuf Goth. The The motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained. The body was taken to Civil Hospital, Karachi, for the autopsy.
