A press release issued on Thursday while quoting PDA President Dr Jamshed Saeed stated the association condemned the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA’s “hooliganism and vandalism at KTH premises.”
Not happy
According to the statement, PTI MPA Yasin Khalil, accompanied by his supporters, allegedly misbehaved with senior staff, including the medical superintendent and chief executive of KTH, on Wednesday night.
KTH had recently recruited several employees on vacant positions and the MPA was reportedly unhappy with the process. Khalil allegedly got infuriated when people who had his backing were not recruited and he was reminded by the hospital officials that the induction process is carried out according to prescribed rules and regulations, said Dr Saeed.
Instead of pursuing a legal course of action, Khalil threatened the KTH officials and later pressurised provincial higher ups to remove Chauhan because he did not cater to the MPA’s demands, Dr Saeed added.
He demanded immediate reinstatement of Chauhan and a police report against Yasin Khalil for creating unrest on hospital premises. The president threatened that the PDA along with all associations of doctors, paramedics and other medical employees would protest if their demands are not met within the next 48 hours.
In response
On the other hand, PTI MPA Yasin Khalil rejected the allegations put forward by PDA. Khalil said PTI workers were protesting outside the hospital and had blocked the road. He had gone there to cool the situation down and take the matter up with the authorities.
The MPA alleged that Chauhan took Rs200,000 as a bribe to induct new employees. He added the health department will investigate the matter and proper action will be taken.

This MPA has already been removed from some ministerial post by PTI sometimes ago. Then why the high ups (Tarakai definitely) listened to this man. PTI should investigate the matter and should take action if he had intervened in the hospital administrative matters.
