Tragic end: Schoolboy commits suicide
The Jaranwala City station house officer (SHO) said they were investigating.

A ninth class student committed suicide in Jaranwala on Monday after being expelled from school for not wearing the uniform. According to Jaranwala City police, 16-year-old Zahid Iqbal, a resident of Chak 632-GB, was a student of Government Islamia High School City. “He was expelled from school by the administration for not wearing the school uniform,” police said. Iqbal returned home and swallowed poisonous pills. The family took him to the tehsil headquarters hospital when he became unconscious. The doctors failed to revive him.
