All aboard: PIA’s pre-Hajj operation continues

The operation will finish on September 28.

LAHORE: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) spokesperson said on Saturday that the national flag-carrier’s pre-Hajj operation was continuing according to schedule.  He said the airline had ferried 33,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia on 82 flights to date. The spokesperson said PIA had carried 3,479 pilgrims from Karachi on 11 flights, 5,190 pilgrims from Lahore on 12 flights, 4,787 pilgrims from Islamabad on 10 flights, 6,466 pilgrims from Quetta on 21 flights, 6,072 pilgrims from Peshawar on 19 flights, 2,289 pilgrims from Multan on seven flights and 1,498 pilgrims from Sialkot on three flights to Saudi Arabia. The operation will finish on September 28.
