KARACHI:

Eighty three new cases of dengue virus have been discovered in Sindh with 57 of these registered in Karachi as of today (Friday).


The total number of positive cases of the virus in Sindh is 2899 with 2525 in Karachi alone. Currently, 267 people are admitted in hospital with the virus while the total number of suspected cases is 4700. At least 20 people have been killed by the dengue virus this season.


According to a November 10 report in The Express Tribune, 233 cases of dengue virus were registered within a period of 24 hours. The total number of patients in the province has crossed 3000.
