Bidding accepted: Hens auctioned in nine districts
Fresh bidding will be held in the district on September 23.

The Livestock and Dairy Development Department on Thursday auctioned hens from government-owned poultry farms in nine districts of the province. Around 25,000 hy-line egg-laying hens were offered for sale in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Multan, Sargodha, Jhelum, Bahawalnagar, Gujrat, Attock and Mianwali. The bidding was supervised by auction committees that forwarded the proposed prices to Poultry Division Director Abdur Rehman. The official has approved the sale in nine districts. The rates offered for the hens in Dera Ghazi Khan were rejected. Fresh bidding will be held in the district on September 23.
