Crackdown: Explosives recovered, two arrested

Two men were held for possessing a large amount of explosives on Wednesday.

CHARSADDA: Two men were held for possessing a large amount of explosives on Wednesday. The ammunition was found in their vehicle in Charsadda. Sardheri police official Ijaz Khan said the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday. He explained the official on duty waved a loader vehicle to stop for routine inspection. Ijaz said the vehicle was impounded and taken to the police station along with the two accused, identified as Maroof Shah and his father Haya Khan, residents of Mohmand Agency. Ijaz said 80 dynamites, used for blasting rocks, 40 detonators and 90 yards of safety fuses wires were seized.
