“Whether he [Prime Minister Nawaz] resigns or not, it does not matter now,” Hashmi told reporters at a news conference held at his Multan residence. “He is politically dead.”
“Nawaz has lost the war for Pakistan’s history… not because of political immaturity, but due to the Sharif family’s dynastic ideology,” he said.
The PTI leader added that Nawaz and his family had manoeuvred themselves into a position where they can no longer appear in public without security. “People don’t want to try the Sharifs in courts. They want him tried in public.”
Hashmi said he was still the president of PTI and claimed he had a major support base within the party. “This is the only reason the PTI leadership has sent me a show cause notice,” he told reporters, adding that he would reply to the notice ‘on merit’.
“I will not step back … I will not let PTI become a dynasty like PML-N [Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz],” he said, adding, “If the PTI leadership is so brave, they should talk to me publicly and address my grievances.”
According to Hashmi, “people’s patience has been tested beyond limit.”
“They can no longer bear dynasties like PML-N and puppets like Imran and [Tahirul] Qadri,” he said. “They want leaders who bring progress, not pose for photo shoots during floods.”
Talking about his strained ties with Imran Khan, Hashmi said he was ‘deeply grieved’ by the PTI chief’s statements against him. He claimed Imran was being exploited by PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jahangir Tareen for their own vested interest.
“Only Qureshi and Tareen want to see Imran become the prime minister, of Pakistan,” he said. “No one else wants Imran as a prime minister because of his emotional outbursts and U-turns.”
The PTI president also hit out at Sheikh Rashid, accusing him of using Imran for vested interests as well. He said because of Sheikh Rashid, Imran had crossed a ‘point of no return’.
Hashmi criticised Imran’s political approach, saying “he considers politics to be a game of cricket, where every ball will lead to a different decision.” He added that the PTI chief provided only ‘on-stage entertainment’ and was not a rational leader with political acumen.

Just go home Hashmi, you need some rest. From your appearance and voice in the press conferences/interviews look really really tired.
@Saad Ahmed: Well then your a fool. I find it bizarre how he says Imran would be a very bad prime minister yet he joined his party and tried to help him become prime minister. He is an old dinosaur and represents the past not the future.
Javed Hashmi could become the PM one day. It is funny. Javed Hashmi should square off with Imran Khan for PTI chairmanship!! He might just win!
Does anyone here realize he was the only political prisoner of Musharraf? And do you all know why he was jailed? Because he did a press conference where he presented a fake letter, which he claimed was from senior army officers in the GHQ who wanted to revolt against Musharraf. Try to google for this letter and see it's content - then decide whether army officers could have written that. He tried to divide the Army 11 years ago for Nawaz Sharif, and today he is trying to divide PTI for Nawaz Sharif. He is a trojan horse who is misleading the public with impunity.
As doctor I have read several statements of Mr Javed Hashmi given in the past few weeks. These statements are very contradictatory to each other.Intially he said if country get Martial Law than Imran Khan would be responsible but with in hours he gave another statement that contradicted his earlier statement. He also tried to give an impression that Supreme Court Judges are with Imran Khan.
As physician I feel that he is showing early signs of memory loss.I doublt thing are going to get better in months to come as far as Javed Hashmi mental state is concerned.May Allah give him health and peace of mind.
Well ,Hashmi is right or wrong but he is showing his political strength by joining PML-N. You cant justified Imran khan for this why he choose such like leaders. Second example is Miss Masarat a selected MNA from KPK and relative of KPK chief Minister .................if you said and defend at that time that she is in party from 16years .May be she is but just to register your name sixteen years ago............ and struggle for party something else and the way she is now abusing Imran khan and party...................I am 100% sure she was never ever part of the party at any time and just because of KPK chief Minister relationship she became MNA. Lastly if you don't regard loyal like Fauzia Kausuri over Masarat and Asad qasir over Javed hashmi or Peerrvaz khattak then a day will come ...........................you will also lost respect in eyes of people. The only problem for Imran khan is that he doesn't trust those who stand beside him. One more issue is not understandable ...........................If PML-N accept that they will only want to do scrutiny of rigging of Imran allegations and will not do vote audit to first establish is there any rigging or not. Then why PTI is not accepting this best offer because in my opinion they already accepted that election is rigged and they just want the scrutiny that who is beneficial of this and is chief justice , najam sethi and election commission is involved in this rigging or not. In my opinion ..........it is difficult to established role of chief justice ,najam sethi but election commission role is easily established as PML-N already accepted rigging just they want scrutiny of Imran allegations.
Contradiction in statements show Mr. Hashmi is loosing it. He said because of Sheikh Rashid, Imran had crossed a ‘point of no return’; then he claims Imran was being exploited by PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jahangir Tareen for their own vested interest; then further he was ‘deeply grieved’ by the PTI chief’s statements against him, all this implies that he consider IK as innocent then he goes south at IK and said PTI chief provided only ‘on-stage entertainment’ and was not a rational leader with political acumen. Is he saying that he wants to highjack the PTI from its leader?? despite the fact that seventy percent of PTI support comes from IK funs. He better take a nap, a really long nap.
Hashmi Sahab has disappointed me a lot...Imran Khan Zinda Baad
Go Nawaz Go
Hashmi is in politics for long and will remain there for long as a key player. Ik emerged in politics as a bubble aand every body knows the end result of a bubble.
...but he was your leader then and now.....AS PER YOUR OWN WORDS.
I am amazed at those who still have a good word or two for this Hash.It is this class of people who brought us to a stage where we need to see the real person behind the facad. Hash lacks character a main requirement of a leader.By character I imply dignity honesty and modesty.
Mr Hashmi is unfortunately loosing his respect day by day - painful to see his downfall in such a disgraceful way; just hope that he realizes soon what negative image of himself he has projected that also in his last days of political career.
People who claim Javed Hashmi is a saviour of Democracy must know that he started his political career in the lap of a dictator (Gen Zia ul Haq) in 1985. He has been part of the ruling elite since then but has never been able to contribute to one single positive change for Pakistan (not even to his constituency) since then. I challenge you all to list his contributions for Pakistan (if any). Please don't come up with "he was jailed during Musharaf's rule for the sake of democracy" as it wasn't about Democracy but coming back to power. He has infact taken bribes during last year's elections to allocate party tickets to highest bidder(s).

People who are admiring Javed Hashmi should try to understand that why is it that whenever Imran Khan gets in trouble, Hashmi just gets up and leaves. If you have problems with the decisions your leadership is making, address them in a closed door meeting with valid facts and arguments. If you're no longer able to run with your party's decisions, leave it and be out in a graceful, quiet manner.
He says that only Qureshi and Tareen want to see Imran Khan as the PM and no one else. Someone ask him, why is he the President of PTI if he didn't even want his leader as the PM?. Doesn't that tell that he wasn't sincere at all with his party?. Vested interests?. What are these vested interests?.
We the neutral people of Pakistan don't want this or that. We want a leader, a person who thinks for us, our prosperity as a nation. Who solves our problems from basic life necessities to the highest tier of facilities. Whoever does this is deserving to be our leader. Where we can move everywhere in the world with honor and respect. Where we aren't being ridiculed or embarrassed because our representatives in the government or parliament don't know what to say or do. Because you believe it or not, we are a nation full of talent and ability to work hard under any circumstances.
Nawaz Sharif and his buddy Hashmi both are politically dead. Some one should help him relaize. This man is not having balance in his statements, perhaps he dont know what comes out of his mouth.
Dear Hashmi Sb,
You have done what you could do to PTI & our future. Now please, resign from party position with grace.
There must be people like Hashmi in PTI who can raise issues of concern. Who can stop conversion of PTI into PMLN. We may have disagreement with him but we know he has principles. I still hope that he can save PTI from being hijacked.
Hashmi should realize that we were with Khan before him so nothing will change the loyalist stance for IK. He should have left the party when he came to know about IK "hidden support". Ironically he stayed and left Ik on the verge.
Khan has been saying all along that if all legal measures are wasted we will take to the streets against rigging. This is what he did. It seems like Khan is upholding his word but Hasmi left when things got a bit stiff.
Khan all the way.
@Shafaq: Loyalty to the party is different from loyalty to the leadership. About time Pakistani politics became more mature and people understand that.
Seems there's no limit this guy will stoop to
If the party and its leadership has major issues.............than why he is trying to be so loyal with PTI????
Dont care what PTI trolls say, Hashmi has earned great respect for standing up to the wrong in IK and for the greater good i.e. democracy. Think man of the match should go to him. One man who has single handedly exposed the ill intentions of PTI and IK.
I love this guy for his stand on democracy. Actually it is he who is brunging a change not imran.
Please! No one needs you're dinosaur age politics either. we have seen where it has led pakistan. We also don't need traitors like you in our politics. You're politically dead as well. If you go to PMLN now, everyone will think you were their spy all along, and PTI will not have you back. Even if somehow you seem to keep your position as the president of PTI, it won't be the same. You can pack up and go, The Sharif are going to follow soon too IA!
