The troops have dropped 52.176 tons of rations through helicopters in Jhang, Multan and Bahawalpur.
Since the start of the relief operation, 29,295 people have been rescued so far by army troops with the use of helicopters and boats
Further, five army helicopters were used in the rescue operation in district Jhang on Friday, while two army aviation helicopters are carrying out rescue operations in Multan district.
Additionally, army troops have rescued 550 people who were stranded in Muzaffargarh, Ahmed Pur East, Panjnad and Multan.
Three medical camps have been established in Jhang, Chiniot and Trimoo and are providing medical treatment to the flood victims.
Four mobile medical units comprising army doctors are providing medical treatment to those affected by the flood in Multan and Bahawalpur areas.
