An official of the World Health Organisation (WHO) confirmed that year-old Gul Muhammed - resident of Eastern Bypass area - had contracted the virus, adding that he had been administered polio drops during the last seven campaigns in the area.
“It is a wild type-1 polio case. He received three POV doses through routine vaccination and more than seven doses through SIAs,” the WHO official said.
This is 2014’s first polio case in Quetta, and second in Balochistan.
The crippling disease has attacked at least 139 children in Pakistan during this year, including 102 in FATA, 23 in K-P, 2 in Balochistan, 11 in Sindh and one in Punjab.

What has happened is exactly what was predicted by the world health organization when they recommended mass immunizations...the Taliban and the TTP bear complete responsibility for all these cases of polio...they have made Pakistan number one in the world...for having preventable diseases...
