Anti-dengue day: Walk held to raise awareness

Gujranwala Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Sunday arranged a walk to raise awareness on dengue fever.


On the orders of the Punjab government, employees of the board held a seminar on prevention, tips and treatment of the disease.

Estate Officer Najeeb Ashraf Warraich briefed board employees about dengue fever and its prevention.

After the meeting, anti-dengue medicine was sprayed at various areas and rain water was drained.

Separately, principal of Government College Satellite Town Saif Ullah Cheema organised a seminar at the college for dengue awareness.

Cheema said social awareness is important for eradication of dengue fever.

“Dengue fever is treatable and can be prevented,” he said.
