Karachi operation: More than 3,500 raids conducted
The report claimed that a total of 141 encounters were conducted in which 197 criminals and militants were killed.

The Rangers issued a progress report about the Karachi operation on Friday which started a year ago on September 5, 2013 on instructions from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. According to statistics, a total of 3,561 raids were conducted in which 2,935 criminals, including 152 target killers, 225 extortionists, 28 kidnappers and 12 militants were arrested. The report claimed that a total of 141 encounters were conducted in which 197 criminals and militants were killed while 136 were arrested.
