Downpour: PTI slams govt over poor draining

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders Ejaz Chaudhry and Yasmin Rashid on Friday condemned the government for failing to clear streets flooded by rains. “Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had promised to make the city Paris or Istanbul but it is giving the look of Venice,” they said in a statement. “The government has failed to make proper arrangements to drain rainwater.” They expressed grief over the loss of lives in rain-related accidents. They demaded that the government take immediate step to provide relied to those affected by rains.
