The premier, during his address to the Parliament, apologised to Ahsan on behalf of Nisar who had accused him of land grabbing and acquiring LPG quota without following the rules.
However, PM's apology seemed not enough for Ahsan as he lashed out at the leaders of PML-N for not having the resolve and the temperament of being in power.
He stated that the PM should not defend those who were responsible for putting the government and the democracy in this precarious situation. He even called on the PM to reshuffle his cabinet once the current crisis subsides because he believed the cabinet ministers had no idea how to respond to Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri until the opposition parties decided to stand with the government.
The PPP leader further threatened that if he decides to walk out of the Parliament, the whole opposition would follow. “You will be only left with Mehmood Achakzai,” he joked, adding that he would not do that as he stands with the prime minister in these difficult times.
The veteran parliamentarian reminded other members of the house that he had always been under scrutiny by various accountability departments since he had been a vocal opposition member. He stressed that the accusations against him were baseless and an attempt to malign his reputation.
Ahsan also boasted about his role in the movement to restore the former chief justice and that he had always supported democratic regimes and norms. He stated that no one should be mistaken about the position of his party and that they will continue to support this democratic setup.
He angrily addressed the PML-N leaders and told them not to stare at him while he was refuting Nisar's claims. "This is my right and I'm not scared of you," he said, pointing at Nisar who was sitting next to the premier. The interior minister wanted to interrupt but was stopped by PM Nawaz, while PML-N leader Tehmina Daultana walked to Ahsan and asked him to keep the issue aside.

I just couldn't understand how one could say elections were rigged... a witness of rigging..sitting govt....a result of rigging......blah blah..... BUT ....I/we being Democrats support this bcoz this is a democrative act and ll nt be against this. But these democrats loose their THAT democratic behaviour when it comes to a personal attack on them regarding corruption. Where was that democracy then???? Selfish. ..liars. ...
It is not the first time that PMLN and PPP are exposed in front of nation.We are bearing them for over 40 years.They have delivered nothing.Common people interests have never been considered.This is the reason when IK emerged in previous elections as HOPE for poor nation.But unfortunately he was hijacked by enemies.............feeling sorry for IK and poor nation

Ch. Nisar is a habitual liar, and most incompetent interior minister of all times. He lied in the parliament about talks with TTP. He lied about the number of casualties in the war against terror. He literally wept in the assembly for the killing of the most wanted terrorist. He kept on lying to PTI about the audit of 40 constituencies. He was the one who made life miserable for the Ex NADRA chief. He was in slumber when Karachi airport was burning. He lied in the parliament about the number of times 245 had been imposed in the country. He lied about who requested the negotiations by the army. He lied when he said Nawaz Sharif didn't resign in 1990s. Given this, it is hard to trust his words anymore.
It is laughable hearing PPP criticizing PMLN's cabinet members given the cast of jokers they had when they were in power. Who in their right mind could even have imagined in their wildest of dreams that Zardari would be President and Gilani or Raja Pervez wouId be prime minister - yet there they were and their performance, rather lack thereof, is in the record books. I agree the PMLN cabinet is nothing but a bunch of incompetent thugs who don't know how to behave in government, much less anything about good governance, BUT for PPP to point that out is even funnier. And this is the democracy we are supposed to be proud of?

Neither the PPP or PML-N act in the interest of the people.
They have their own interests, occasionaly their cheating and lies bubble to the surface but for the most part they are hidden behind the surface.
The PPP are riding on the coat tails of the feudals, and the PML-N on the back of the rich.
Everyone else is at their mercy.
They are not saving the parliament but their own personal interests. A very corrupt lot these people are.
Chuadhry Aitezaz is a dubious character who at this crucial time is settling his personal score. He cannot forget how Mian Brothers have made him a non entity in main stream politics and without a win in direct elections for a very long time. The issue was protection of democracy and constitution but he shamefully turned into war between two Chaudhrys.

Imran Khan as well as Dr. Qadri have both stressed the fact that it is their right to protest like they have been doing. However, they certainly do NOT have the right to entice the general public towards civil disobedience - don't pay taxes, don't pay your electricity bill, don't pay for your gas bill or your water bill. Dissolving the government completely, means there will be nobody to set up rules of any kind. Applying pressure on the government does NOT means they have the right to put the life of any government official at risk. With the hatred that they are continuously creating towards the Prime Minister, surely there is the risk of somebody in their supporting crowd to actually kill any government official. Furthermore, the language that is currently being used by both these men about the Prime Minister, is truly lacking in discipline. To take to the streets is not only very risky but also unconstitutional. No party leader can enforce (or demand) any decision made by him or his party by taking to the streets. There are set ways in which you can make your demand know, through the parliament itself. That has not been followed which is what makes this whole approach unconstitutional. Present your greavance to the parliament and try to convince THEM to agree with your suggestion. If they don't then you must simply stop rather than create an atmosphere of war. I cannot imagine such actions to happen in the United States or England. Even Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto create such an atmosphere of civil disobedience after his disagreement with Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman. India will naturally rejoice on this calamity because it gives them a chance to see Pakistan break even further. What a shame.
The Speeches from our so called elected democratic members of assemblies have proven the stand of Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan that these assemblies are full of corrupt members who would have never become members if our free judiciary had acted according to the constitution articles 61 and 62.
