Court orders: SHC extends stay against EIA approval implementation

The bench took up their replies on record and adjourned hearing till September 9.

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has extended the stay against the implementation upon the environmental impact assessment approval for a project, comprising construction of two underpasses and a flyover, in Clifton till September 9.


Headed by Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, the bench extended its interim stay through which the operation of the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency’s (Sepa) environmental impact assessment approval for the project was suspended on last hearing.

On Thursday, the government authorities concerned filed their replies to the DHA’s objections.

The bench took up their replies on record and adjourned hearing till September 9. Till then the judges extended stay against implementation on the Sepa’s EIA approval.
