Explosion: Man loses foot in landmine blast

MUZAFFARABAD: A man has lost his foot when a landmine exploded in Fatehpur Nakyal some 220 kilometres from here. Muhammad Sadiq, 55, resident of Daroti village of Fatehpur Nakyal in Kotli near the Line of Control (LoC) was cutting the grass in the pastures when the landmine exploded on Sunday. Sadiq was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital Kotli where his left foot was amputated.  Shrapnel were extracted from the severely injured two legs. Doctor said despite losing the foot, Sadiq is in stable condition.
