Crime of passion: Spurned suitors kill four relatives
Two men had killed four relatives in Langrana over the rejection of a marriage proposal late on Tuesday.

Police said on Wednesday that two men had killed four relatives in Langrana over the rejection of a marriage proposal late on Tuesday. They said Sanaullah and Rehmatullah, residents of Chak 200-JB, forcibly entered the residence of their uncle, Ghulam Mustafa, and shot his wife, Sallan Bibi, and their three daughters, Zakiya Bibi, Amina Bibi and Aziz Fatima dead. Muhammad Hussain, a relative of Sallan Bibi, said the men had wanted to marry Mustafa’s daughters but Bibi had rejected their proposal. They had taken the rejection as an insult and had killed the family over the perceived slight. Langrana SHO said the bodies had been sent to a mortuary for autopsy. He said a team had been constituted to arrest the absconding men.
