LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from police on Wednesday after they refused to register a theft case. The petitioner told the court some pickpockets had stolen 25,000 Saudi riyals from him when he boarded a train from city railway station for Mian Channu on August 11. He could not get back to Lahore quickly due to the roadblocks set up by police to stop the Inqilab and Azadi marches. He said when he went to police, they did not register the FIR, saying he was too late. He appealed to the court to order the police to register his complaint.
