Supporting inqilab march: MWM starts sit-in at Numaish Chowrangi

The Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) activists turned up in dozens to stage a sit-in at Numaish Chowrangi

KARACHI:
The Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) activists turned up in dozens to stage a sit-in at Numaish Chowrangi on Monday evening, soon after the party threw its weight behind the charter of demands presented by leaders of the Inqilab March in Islamabad. The MWM vowed to continue the sit-in for an indefinite period. Party leaders Maulana Ali Anwar Jafari and Ali Hussain Naqvi said that the sit-in, being held on the call of the party’s secretary general, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, who had been a part of the Inqilab March’s leadership in Islamabad, will continue until the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s government steps down. “This is the beginning of a movement against the government,” said Maulana Jafri. “But we will be compelled to block all the main highways and railway stations if the Nawaz Sharif-led government fails to resign.” Soldier Bazaar SHO Rafay Tanoli said that the police are providing security to the activists.
