Quick action: Police arrest alleged thief
A further investigation against the alleged thief is under way.

CCTV footage helped the Thothal police catch a man who allegedly stole mobile phones of a journalist in Mirpur. According to the police, local journalist Muhammad Bilal had registered an FIR stating that unidentified thieves had stolen two mobile phones from his car when it was parked at Chowk Shoda. The police investigation team, with the help of camera footage of the chowk identified the alleged thief and arrested him from Bin Kharma village. During preliminary investigation, the man, identified as Ali Abbas, confessed to his crime. A police team raided his house and recovered the stolen mobile phones as well after he told officials they were stashed at his residence. A further investigation against the alleged thief is under way.
