PM attends Azm-e-Nau 3 exercises

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Sunday that the nation completely supports its armed forces in their struggle against the militants and extremism in the country.

He was addressing the officers at the army war games, Azm-e-Nau-3 in Bahawalpur.

At the same event, Cheif of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani said that the  Pakistan army is capable of defending the country.

Kayani said that the purpose of the war games is to keep the army prepared at all times and constantly refine and improve the response matrix.

He said that the idea behind Azm-e-Nau or 'new resolve' is to analyse various hostile doctrines and their implications.

The army chief thanked the air chief for participation and integration of the Pakistan Air Force in the war games.
