LAHORE: The Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) has demanded the political fraternity to give priority to the national interest and turn down disruptive instability tactics that have taken the economy hostage. Economic indicators have started to show a negative trend while industrial production is at the lowest ebb. If political instability continues, it would be harder for the manufacturing sector to fulfill its export orders. PIAF Chairman Malik Tahir Javed expressed these views while talking to a delegation of the industrialist of Lahore Township Industrial Area led by LTIA Chairman, Chaudhry Zaheer Ahmad Bhutta. Delegation informed the PIAF chairman that the business community was in deep trouble due to the growing tension. He said that transportation of raw material and finished goods was at a standstill and businessmen were facing loss of billions of rupees. The chairman said long marches were not the solution of any issue and it creates only troubles for businessmen and the masses.
