Azadi March: Gilani condemns Gujranwala clashes
“I believe PTI workers have been attacked wrongfully.”
MULTAN:
Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday condemned an attack on the participants of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) Azadi Marach in Gujranwala. “The attackers are not the enemies of the PTI… they are in fact the enemies of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz,” Gilani said. “The Gujranwala incident reflects the aggressive behaviour of the PML-N. The party has attacked courts in the past. It is also responsible for the June 17 brutalities in Model Town.” Gilani said the PML-N lacked political acumen to deal with the testing situations. “There is no room for such an aggression in a democratic setup,” the prime minister said. “I believe PTI workers have been attacked wrongfully.”
