Bad vacation: Family returns to find house burgled

PESHAWAR: Jewellery worth Rs1 million along with other valuables was stolen from a house in Hassan Garhi, police said on Tuesday. According to Babar Safdar, thieves broke into his apartment in Syed Lodges while he and his family were out of the country. In the FIR registered with Michni Gate police, Safdar said the robbers took gold jewellery worth Rs1 million, two digital cameras, a 9mm pistol and other valuables. “When we returned, we saw all the locks of our flat had been broken and all valuables which had been left in the house were missing,” Safdar stated in the FIR. Police have started an investigation.
