KARACHI: The president and secretary general of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists strongly condemned the Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal’s statement where he had allegedly held the media responsible for the current political situation in the country. PFUJ President Rana M Azeem and Secretary General Amin Yousuf, in a joint statement on Monday, made it clear to the federal government that media was unbiased and performing its professional duty to convey the message and ideology of all the political parties and leaders. “We are not backing any single media group, but we do believe that media has been doing its duty with impartiality and according to the norms of the journalism,” the statement said, adding that the journalists are attending each and every function being arranged by the political and religious forces.
