An additional district and sessions judge sought comments on a petition seeking a case against Lashkar-i-Jhangvi.
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Monday sought comments from the Factory Area SHO on a petition seeking a case against proscribed organisation Lashkar-i-Jhangvi for allegedly sending the petitioner a threatening letter. Masood Shafi said he had been targeted for being a Shia. He accused Lashkar-i-Taiba of throwing a threatening letter into his house. The letter said: “You people carry out blasphemous activities against Sahaba-i-Kiram because of which you people have been taught several lessons....but now it is your turn and you will be killed if you did not stop your activities”. Shafi said he had approached the relevant police station but the SHO did not register a case against the proscribed organisation.
