PESHAWAR: Supporters of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) held a rally in the city on Sunday to protest Israel’s aggression against Palestine. The provincial JI chief Professor Muhammad Ibrahim led the rally, which started from Hashtnagri. Senior minister Inayatullah Khan, JI general secretary Shabbir Ahmad Khan, and the JI Peshawar’s district ameer, among other party leaders, were present on the occasion. The protesters were holding placards inscribed with anti-Israel sentiment and chanted slogans against the Israeli and American governments. They asked the Islamic world to take a stronger stance against the killing of innocents. “The international community must take steps to stop this attack,” said Ibrahim on the occasion. He added, “Israel is busy in its genocide of Palestinians, while the Muslim world is in deep slumber.”
