LAHORE:

The Government College University on Wednesday announced that it would not extend the deadline for the submission of admission forms for intermediate programmes.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the GCU said the last date for the submission of students’ admission forms for admissions to intermediate programmes was August 11 and no extension would be granted in this regard.

The statement said that the first merit list would be displayed on the university’s website on August 15, Friday, and the second merit list on August 21.

Government College University Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Khaleequr Rahman said that the university had ensured the timely availability of admission forms to students in order to speed up the admissions process.

The statement said that the administration had to work hard to reprint its admission forms and prospectus to ensure timely provision to students.

“As in the previous years, we sincerely hope that the incoming batch of students will maintain the varsity’s record of securing top positions in the intermediate board exams,” the statement issued by the varsity said.

The Government College University opened admissions to its intermediate programmes on July 24, a day before the matriculation results were officially announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Lahore.
