Azadi march: PTI workers in Karachi demand special train

PTI's leaders have threatened to halt Pakistan Railways trains from Karachi to other parts of the country

KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leaders have threatened to halt Pakistan Railways trains from Karachi to other parts of the country, if they are not provided a special train from Karachi to Rawalpindi to attend the Azadi March in Islamabad.

The PTI leaders from Karachi had submitted an application to the Pakistan Railway Karachi Division on July 26, seeking a special train on August 12, to carry party activists and supporters to Rawalpindi via Lahore.

The Pakistan Railways Karachi moved their application to the Railways headquarters at Lahore but the PTI has not received any answer since then. The party leaders blame government for not providing them a special train. “The railways Karachi officials have received our application and forwarded it to headquarters but we have not heard from the railways administration at Lahore,” said PTI Karachi senior leader Subhan Ali Sahil.
