Spirit of freedom: August celebrations to promote unity says minister
This is a clear message to the enemies of the country that we are united as a nation says Minister.
FAISALABAD:
Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ishfaq Sarwar said on Tuesday that the government was celebrating the month of August to promote the spirit of national unity.
He was addressing a function held at the Circuit House in connection with the independence day celebrations.
“The whole nation is celebrating August as the month of independence. This is a clear message to the enemies of the country that we are united as a nation. We will not spare any sacrifice to protect our motherland,” he said.
Divisional Commissioner Sardar Akram Javed, Minister for Zakat and Ushr Malik Nadeem Kamran, Minister for Minorities Sardar Khalil Tahir Sindhu and Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Rana Muhammad Arshid were also present.
Later, Sarwar hoisted the national flag at the Circuit House and the national anthem was played.
