The under-development, he says, is particularly affecting the youth.

HYDERABAD: Qaumi Awami Tehreek president Ayaz Palijo, who was tasked to reconcile the warring gangs of Lyari, has complained that the provincial government is not making efforts to lift Lyari from poverty. A delegation of Lyari Ittehad Committee led by Molana Abdul Majeed Sarbazi met Palijo at his residence on Sunday night. Palijo alleged that the government’s initiatives for health, education and other development works were limited to paperwork only. The under-development, he added, is particularly affecting the youth. He urged the government to initiate a holistic development of the town to purge the area of terrorists, extortionists, land mafia and drug peddlers.
