Tragedies on Eid: Four killed, 50 injured in Chakwal

The officials said another man, whose identity could not be verified, lost his life in a traffic accident.

At least four people were killed and over 50 injured in various incidents in Chakwal during Eidul Fitr festivities.


In the first incident, a young boy accidently shot himself dead in Dongi Bala village of Chakwal. The local police said six-year-old Zain Ali was playing with his father’s pistol at his house when a bullet went off and hit him. Ali was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.


Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was killed and a man riding pillion was injured when their motorcycle collided with a speeding car coming from the opposite direction on the Talagang-Sargodha Road.

Moreover, a man was killed and three others injured in a collision between two motorcycles on Kallar Kahar-Talagang Road. The accident took place due to reckless driving, stated a police report. According to the details given by officials at the District Headquarters Hospital in Chakwal, more than 50 injured were brought to the hospital on the second and third day of Eid.

The officials said another man, whose identity could not be verified, lost his life in a traffic accident. Those with minor injuries were sent home after treatment but those with serious conditions were referred to the District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi.
