Tragic turn: Three killed in road accident in Kaghan
Over 108 people were wounded in road mishaps during Eid holidays: Rescue 1122.

Even as Rescue 1122 reported more than a hundred people hurt in road mishaps across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during Eidul Fitr holidays, three more died and as many were injured in a road traffic accident in Kaghan on Wednesday.
According to the police and rescue workers, a car plunged into a roadside ravine in Kaghan Valley.
The vehicle, carrying six members of the same family, was on its way back from Shogran. When it reached near Kewai, the driver lost control as a result of which the vehicle fell into the gorge. Two passengers died on the spot while the other four were injured.
Residents took the bodies and injured people to Balakot Hospital where one of the injured died. Those killed were identified as Qasim, his brother Zakir and their cousin Qasim. The others, Waqar, Azeem and Sadiq, were critically injured and later taken to Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad.
The roads on Eid

According to the data provided, two youngsters were critically wounded when they lost balance midst performing wheelies.
Hamid, 15, from Fazalabad and Maaz, 16, from Hajiabad were out on Chand Raat doing tricks on their motorcycles, within the limits of the city’s East police station, when Maaz lost his balance. Their bikes crashed into the footpath and both boys sustained critical injuries. They were shifted to a hospital in the Cantonment area.
In a similar accident, Muhammad Shoaib lost his balance while performing a wheelie in Qamerdin Garhi, Ring Road. Shoaib hit his head on the pavement and was rushed to a hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.
Three teenagers were badly injured in an accident on Chungi Kohat Road. Younas, 18, Mirza Khairullah, 16, and Matiullah, 18, were hit by a motorcycle and were badly hurt. The three were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) by Rescue 1122 workers.
Two children were run over in Nishtarabad while crossing a road. Manan, 10, and Husna, 11, were attempting to cross a road when a rickshaw ran them over. The two were taken to LRH.
According to the rescue agency’s Mardan office, the district saw at least 63 road traffic accidents. In these, most people suffered minor injuries and were discharged from hospitals after the administration of first aid.
